cuddle buddy

imagine you feeling up a girl, and a rat pop out of her chest

I’d go straight home

I wouldn’t even go to sleep, I’d just lay there in the dark and think about life, and not blink for 6 hours

if you were more focused on feeling up the word of The Lord then this would not have been a problem to begin with!!

keep it innocent !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Tumblr social activism, as well as the actions of many public movements, I’m finding it harder and harder to support the LGBT/Minority community. While I still feel there’s definitely good people in both categories who deserve equal rights and treatment, I’ve seen nothing but spoiled, hate-spewing, childish, ignorant activists on this site and out in the open. I see people reaching out to these groups to offer aid, only to get their hand bit clean off because they’re ‘cishet scum’ or because they don’t entirely agree with aggressive activists. People say the life of LGBTs/minorities are full of strife, and I’m sure for some it is, but when people are calling for the death of the privileged, saying the privileged can’t be discriminated against, and overall acting like spiteful twelve year-olds, I just can’t take movements such as Feminism seriously anymore. While I do one day hope we can all be equal and get along, I know that these toxic Tumblrites are just setting any progress backwards with their misguided ideas for ‘justice’.

So what you’re saying is you’re going to stop supporting minorities because some of them were mean to privileged people on the internet..Being called “cishet scum” is not nearly as bad as being discriminated against in literally every other aspect of your life. the comfort of privileged people is NOT more important than the safety of oppressed people

Furthermore, if the people you are talking about who are “acting like 12 year olds” are angry, maybe you should LISTEN to why they are angry rather than dismissing them because they make you uncomfortable. That is exactly what perpetuates oppression and bigotry.

I made a mistake in reblogging the entire post without reading it through more carefully. I’m going to delete the initial reblog after posting this, so allow me to explain where I stand on this subject. The safety of the oppressed is obviously far more important than the feelings of the privileged. However, I personally believe that approaching the privileged with aggression/hostility is just going to give them an excuse to be spiteful and unsupportive when it comes to liberating the oppressed. The goal of a social movement is to GAIN supporters, not alienate them. This is not necessarily to say that the oppressed aren’t justified in their internet rants, but the truth is: at the end of the day, all it really does is turn people off to the whole idea of minority liberation. So: while it makes the oppressed feel better for the time being, it accomplishes absolutely nothing in the end. Alienating people is detrimental to the entire movement; more so than white people whining about minorities ‘being mean’. Apologies extended for my lack of elaboration on my opinions and my carelessness regarding the previous post.

It’s ok; my post wasn’t directed at you! While I understand the aim of social justice is to gain support, and that oppressed people acting hostile towards privileged people can be a turnoff, at the end of the day it shouldn’t affect someone’s stance on these issues. A small minority of people venting about/making generalizations about their oppressors isn’t an adequate reason to say “well I’m not going to support the lgbt community anymore.” (There are no adequate reasons to not support the lgbt community) (which is also why my comment was directed at the op)I don’t see oppressed people being spiteful as an issue because tumblr is one of the very few safe (and I use the word safe in the loosest possible way) places where they can voice their opinions and actually have others listen.
